Welcome to another season of Men’s & Women’s Division III Hockey! 

This season, we’ve incorporated another aspect of the brand by creating our very own set of Weekly Top-15 Polls!

To answer a few questions and explain the process behind the polls, you’ve come to the right place. 

This season, each poll has its own set of voters, there are 6 duplicate voters, mostly consisting of media members. Each poll consists of Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Sports Information Directors (SID’s), Broadcasters, & Media Members. Every league is represented at least once, on most occasions, more than once. There’s 11 East & 9 West voters per poll, plus 2 absentee voters if a regular voter is unable to complete their ballot by the designated deadline, this consists of 1 East and 1 West voter.

Weekly polls will be posted first (like everything else) on Twitter (X) and Instagram (@DIIIHockeyNews), then here on DIIIHockeyNews.com! The estimated posting time is 12pm EST every Monday of the season in which games are played!

All voters will remain anonymous unless they themselves decide to reveal it, all ballots will also remain anonymous. 

Thankfully, we’ve already seen multiple schools include our 2024 preseason polls along with the universally-used USCHO.com poll. Some of these schools include UW-River Falls, UW-Eau Claire, Adrian, SUNY Cortland, Gustavus, Skidmore, Utica, and others!

We’ve seen other polls such as the classic D3Hockey.com poll (retired 2019) come and go, but this one is here to stay. We firmly believe we’ve selected the best, diverse, and qualified set of voters for each poll based on various factors. You can see our Men’s Poll HERE and our Women’s Poll HERE.
