The Hobart Statesmen are a Men’s Division III ice hockey team representing Hobart College, located in Geneva, New York from the State University of New York Athletic Conference. The team is based out of the Geneva Recreation Complex Skating Rink, also known as “The Cooler.” The rink is located about a mile from the school’s campus. The men’s program was elevated to varsity status for the 1978-79 season. The school is a sister institution to William Smith College, also located in Geneva, New York.
