Hello! My name is Scott Huston and this will be my third season contributing with D-III Hockey News. I help create graphics for rankings, standings, and weekly scores. Come playoff time, I also create brackets and tournament projections. I’m looking forward to help build the website further, and continue to collect data and statistics for both the men’s and women’s game, as well as show the history and tradition of this sport.
Check out Scott’s writing here!
Growing up in the south suburbs of Chicago, Division III hockey was not on my radar at all. Though I loved the sport of hockey, I had only followed the pros. However, I always had a fondness for college athletics, being a massive NCAA football and basketball fan. I attended and graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. There, I was introduced to the tremendous amount of passion and tradition there is within Division III hockey. I was hooked, and saw just how important this sport is to so many people within this close-knit community. Over the years, I have read, watched, and listened to everything I can about D-III hockey. I am thrilled to do my best to help grow the game, and recognize as many incredible student-athletes as possible. Currently, I am a high school teacher in the Twin Cities metro area.
